About the event
The Museum and Library Alliance of the Greater Lehigh Valley is delighted to offer a two-part virtual workshop on the Omeka S platform. Omeka S represents an affordable, open-source platform for many MLA institutions that wish to display their digital collections. The workshop will be presented by Janna Avon, Digital Initiatives Librarian at Lafayette College and will be offered as a two-part series on Zoom.
************************* Session One: An Introduction to Omeka S
Tuesday, September 13th from 1:30-3:00 PM
The introductory session will cover platform and hosting options as well as the basics of adding items and creating sites.
************************* Session Two: Intermediate Omeka S
Tuesday, October 4th from 1:30-3:00 PM
This second session will focus on administrative tools and advanced settings including users and permissions, managing multiple sites, item sets, templates, plug-ins, etc.
